Day 2: Building a Better Belief

Science-based belief restructuring & designing new narratives!

Yesterday was about finding the root of your beliefs; today is about rebuilding those that don’t serve you. In this session, we dive into the science of how your brain actually changes. We aren’t just thinking positively – we are utilizing neuroplasticity to physically reshape your neural pathways & rebuild a Belief Bridge from your old story to your new truth!

What we cover today:

  • The Science: we look at how your brain is mailable like plastic & through neuroplasticity can be changed. We discuss how your thoughts are not fixed traits, but physical pathways that can be reshaped & strengthened through deliberate practice.
  • Reframing: the process of taking your Root Story (the narrative that keeps you stuck) & pivoting it into empowering Action Lens narrative.
  • The 4 Rules of Affirmations: the basics on writing powerful statements that your brain will accept to rewire your identity.
    • “I” Statements: by taking ownership of the statement, your brain locks in.
    • Present Tense: how to trick your brain into realizing that the change is happening right now.
    • Positive Language: focus on what you are moving towards & not what you are leaving behind. Allowing your brain to focus on what you want.
    • The Believability Factor: your brain accepting the statement is key! If you believe that the change is possible, then it will be easier to convince your brain that the change is happening. If you do not believe in the change, then your brain will fight the change.
  • Constructing Your Bridge: this is where we move from identifying the lie to building a believable, powerful new truth that serves the person you are becoming.

Your Homework:

Review the Core Belief that you chose on Day 1. Using the 4 Rules of affirmation writing to craft 3 new affirmations. These are your new tools to flip your narrative. Use the worksheet below to write down your new thoughts!
