Failure
You’ve set a goal. It could be to lose weight, cleaning your house, or making 6 figures. But the voice in your head is setting you up for failure!
Why would you sabotage your own goals? Everyone struggles with self sabotage! We all have a voice in our head that tells us things. Most of us have an anti-cheerleader. This voice tells us that we are bound to fail. It says we are unworthy of success.
However, failure is important! It teaches us what we did wrong in the past. When we learn from past failures, it sets us up to succeed!
A new day
Everyday we wake up with a million opportunities to learn from our failures and that leads to success. The day brings us new chances to rise above and take on each challenge with a new viewpoint.
But, when our internal voice tells us that we can’t do it and will fail, it takes more than a new day to overcome failure.
A slippery slope
When we have set backs, the voice kicks in high gear. Listen to what it tells you; learn the language that it uses. This is important to kicking that voice out and replacing it with a cheerleader.
Think back to a time when you totally failed at meeting a goal. Did it start with something small? Even a tiny setback can cause us to fail. Why? Because failure is slippery. Once you see failure creeping up, you can start to slide down this slope. Small setbacks are usually the start of failure.
Failure Planning
How do we overcome these small setbacks so that they do not lead to totally failure? Failure planning is the key to not failing completely. Its when you plan for the small setbacks and know they will happen.
We will have setbacks. The is the way goals are accomplished – you have to get through every setback that comes your way. If you don’t get through a setback, it will lead to another and another setback. You then slide down into failure.
When you plan for failure, you can plan to get through the setbacks & avoid failure.
