Moving on from the Liquid Phase
What I learned….
- I am stronger than I ever thought!
- Each phase starts off easier, then the food craving sneaks up again.
- I can rise above my food cravings.
- I need to work on my relationship with food, every day, every time they come up.
- I used to eat when I was bored, a lot of the time.
- I used to eat when I was sad, stressed, or tired.
- I still like to have a treat at night, but now I reach for some flavored water or sugar-free popsicle.
- My struggle with food isn’t gone, but I am rising above the cravings and developing a healthy relationship with food.
- There are ways to make the liquid phase taste good. My favorites were “Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup ” Soup and Bloody Mary Soup. I will post these easy recipes below.
- You have to think outside the box. Keeping things interesting, while having a couple go-to foods. Shake things up a little with seasonings (just be careful with spicy food, speak to your surgeon or nutritionist about how these can affect you.
The best part of the liquid phase is that it is simple, easy to follow, and I am glad to be done with it!
